I believe to be a great Web Developer you need to be a great listener, eager to learn, a little quirky and willing to try new things; I find this defines who I am. The idea of being able to create something that is effective, original and will make life easier for someone else is thrilling to me.

I am eager to work on some exciting projects. Being a beginner, I intend to dedicate as many hours as I can to flourish within this fast moving industry and finish my course prior to my deadline.I would like to dedicate myself to 35+ hours per week. I hope to sponge as much information as possible and utilise my new skills in my own creative style.

During my previous working experience in Sales and Project Managing, I have been exposed to skills such as consulting, proposing creative options and meeting deadlines. As time passes, I noticed my goals in life have changed and after exploring Web Development, I realised that I could utilse the same skills in a more capturing and innovative way. Commencing as a Junior, I would love to grow within the industry and develop new exciting skills.

My Story

I am a thriving Web Developer in training based in New Zealand who is excited about the beautiful web.

I combine different worlds in my work, from consulting and offering solutions right through to Project Managment. My passion in design and my current studies in Web Development help me understand what website hunters are searching for.

I have spent some time experimenting with HTML, CSS and Javascript on various web developer sites and completed an HTML writing course. I aim to complete my current course with Career Foundry as a Web Developer by October 2017.

The idea of being able to create something myself that is effective, original and will make like easier for someone else is thrilling to me. My love for design and coding coupled with my people and organizational skills and ability to meet targets, I knew becoming a great Web Developer was my goal.
People often tell me that I really listen to their specifications, I am proactive in keeping them up-to-date on progress and respond quickly to any requests. I have great organizational skills for easy management and modification to your website I always meet deadlines. I can work independently, or in conjunction with a team.
This varies from project to project, however our standard websites take approximately 120 days to create.
I believe constant Communication and proper Project Management is key for a successful website. I follow these basic steps:

1. Basics: During this meeting, we will discuss and fine tune your goals and design direction where I will then present a detailed proposal catering to your needs.
2. Kick-off: During our second meeting, we will discuss practical planning, we will also discuss milestones and launch dates for your new website.
3. Content: Creating, organizing, and collecting your website’s information is vital in order to deliver your message to your target audience. We dive into this further
4. Design: This is the fun part where you see your website develop from infant stage. Creativity is our game and we will offer you multiple concepts and directions for your review
5. Develop: After the design concept has been selected we move onto programming your website. We will keep you up to date with the progress.
6. Upload: Now that your website has been thoroughly reviewed and prepped for uploading, we make any last minute, updates necessary and move your site into the final phase.
